Are You Settled?

These are days that challenge.
Days can confuse us with new situations in which we have no experience.
I found an  18 month old calendar with notes about trying to get 'settled' into RedBarn after being here for just 6 months.  I was looking forward to new friends, a new church...new hopes and to establish a home with seasons of remembered  traditions both old and new to RedBarn.
Just kept dwelling on  the  thought of being settled....and trying to work through that.
To settle is to place something, or someone.  To decide, to even put on a ledge.
And certainly a ledge has to have a place to be attached..a ledge needs a foundation.
Of course...thankyou Lord!  If you are secure and safe, then others can be too.
If we trust in God, then we are firmly established.  We can not move.
This kind of security can only be spiritual. God is our divine protection and refuge.
Phew....that surely takes the pressure off most everything.
Sure, there are problems, even suffering.
When someone says 'Be Safe',  just speak the truth, and say "I am--He holds me up".
The potted tulips did well.  The daffodils will be ready in 2-3 weeks for Easter?

The inside birds aren't much company, but that's all the cat will allow...

Still cold enough for the woodstove. Thankful for the exercise and the heat.

Picked some hardy lettuce from the cold frame for a salad. Started some sprouts today, too.
In a few days may run out for more fresh fruits and veg.
Made some mint tea from dried leaves, though the garden is sprouting little plants and I suppose I could have used the tiny new ones.
Truly, I'm never bored....learned in many situations, through long periods of being 'at home'  to be content.  Long distance friends  and family, (and local ones currently)  are connected with various media.  Knitting and sewing   projects get juggled. I bake some fun things once in a while.
I've been know to just have fun, some days, and not take myself too seriously.
Last week I baked 1/2 of a pie.   Yesterday rhubarb (from the freezer)
jumped into the oven for dessert. Yummy...
Oh, the living room is looking better...painting done, dining room/sunroom is queued up next.

That said....there are some very hard days.  It's true for all of us.
We    ALL have hard days..
All of us...

Starting to think forward to Easter! Hooray for Easter!  It always comes around. Praise God..
Spring always comes.  I was looking forward to spring being on March 20th again.
Spring usually comes the day after March 19th.
I didn't know til today, that it came just before midnight on March 19th this year.
the earliest in 124 years!    Maybe I should have stayed up and thrown some

Glitter!!!

TA DA!!!  If that wasn't God saying, I've got this!
