Prepping for.....EASTER
My previous post spoke about being settled.
Just yesterday I came across some notes from
George MacDonald' s book, The Marquis's Secret in reference to Clementina:
" She was pretty but without the harmony within her being"
(Searching for the harmony within ? Poor Clementina..)
"but to hear the nonsense come out of her..and all because she won't let
her heart rest long enough
to let it grow bigger,
but has always got to be settling into things right before their time and
before she's even fit for the job."
Some knowledge comes with experience and age. Some we will not get.
It's okay not to know everything.
And the peace of God , which surpasses all comprehension,
Just 2 weeks til Easter..and some of us may be having Easter remotely via Live Stream from our churches. It may be different this year, but it will still be Easter!
His resurrection follows His crucifixion.
Our hope in that fact does not change.
Been setting some of my usual things on display. Just the Spring is Here! and those that remind us of Easter.
We may have ham....or hamburger.
Decorated eggs or scrambled.
Maybe I'll hide those leftover-from- last -year plastic eggs,
and make some of Grammie's peanut butter fudge.
(hey, I may need to get creative here).
One fun memory I have is making Resurrection Cookies. May I suggest you
gather your family around and do the same? Perhaps even a few days before Easter Sunday
might work, depending on your plans, and if you really could use a
meaningful home school lesson.
I especially like the 'taping the oven door shut'.
Even young children can help with the cookies/lesson.
Thank you for the wonderful post. So agree. Our Easter services and traditions maybe different this year. Serving our Lord and trusting Him wherever we are.
ReplyDeleteLove doing the cookies and story. So wonderful.
