Easter, scattered but gathered...
Twas 2 days before Easter, and all thru RedBarn, the lady was a in a quandary.
What? No one is coming for dinner?
No hugging friends at church and saying He is risen, to be followed by. He is risen, indeed?
So I put my big-girl-apron on, and got to work.
(OK, I've been known to pick an outfit according to which apron I chose.)
...and shed a tear or two over the littlest aprons that would not be worn...
So we were...but gathered together in His name.
We had planned on painting and refitting the enclosed porch to remake into a badly
needed dining space. It got finished, and was a lovely spot.
but, back to the Easter Prep?
Get my heart right.. and centered on Jesus. Keep connected with friends and family.
Adapt my plans, and remember to lighten up, and enjoy the time home.
I just might have some lengthy experience at staying 'mostly at home' during a previous time, and I needed to
remember that this time was not that time....
While some bonus RedBarn honey was harvested.....I had fun making hot cross buns and a cake (with lemon filling thankyou very much). We did have other than sweet things too..
Church was live-streamed. Our pastor reminded us that Jesus told the disciples as they went to pray at the Mount of Olives,
'you will all fall away, because it is written, "I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered".
So I fill my days continuing to do as He asks, and balancing the work things with the just plain fun.
I may have wallpapered a closet😉, but when I noticed some pins were dull, I drew the line at sharpening them. Really. Though I may have to get to that, if it doesn't warm up more outside to get in the dirt to plant and weed.....
What a lovely Easter. Sugh special touches. You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThrough the tears of missing our families , and our get togethers, we are so blessed to have a Risen Saviour.
