Welcome spring...Keeping calm and showing trust

After all the kitchen drama these past months, I recently discovered  my potholders were 'iffy'.   Easily fixed, thought I..  Why do small projects morph into bigger things?   I traced around them, found some scraps in my stash, and slipcovered the clean, old holders and stitched through all the layers. Perfect size.  Not too thick, either.

Easter plans, not quite set, but the ham is bought, and the menu mostly planned.
Waiting for the final people count, as last year it was 'just two'.
This spring has started lovely.  Weather is warm, damp, and windy. Next week I'll be
Starting little flats of flowers from seed.
The following picture show the entryway, with a view into the kitchen.  The doorway was moved right.
So new paneling filled in the space.
Plans are to paint the room next year, but the white wall needed something.
Green chalkboard paint was the semi-permanent solution. I bravely added the spring flowers.

Next week the wall will  better reflect Easter.
And I really need to pull  out my crockpot ham recipe, and of course,
Hot Cross Buns...Yum....
