Process Christmas? Though Him
Then I realized they weren't talking about kids running around in
crazy-happy present anticipation mode....
They were relating to watching a loved one go through the Christmas Stuff boxes, and
decide what to put out...and where...and to watch them silently wipe the tears as they did it.
It made me think that we can get stuck in the past, tears and all, OR pray over the things in our past that
can be 'bottomless', and ask the Savior to redeem ALL the past!
All we'd be brought to the throne, again, and thank Him for it all.
To celebrate the wonderful, and the hard. And to leave the hard at the foot of the cross.
The socks were a pair, made many years ago...with what I had. The were ugly, worn, fixed and very very warm! Hurray for boot sox.
The mittens ?? Surely they were not a pair?
( from our old sheep, and my first attempt to spin/knit with their yarn). YIKES!
They look lovely hung up filled with greens.
The mice? Who knows? (am sorta on a mice 'kick', though Miss Kitty Purl disallows real ones.)
Next pic, my favorite. A card from my mom's dear friend, Doris, probably sent when
Wee ones were my everyday life.
That card sits framed on my kitchen window sill.. Every year...
The mama looking down, with a protecting glance at her little penguin?
From the December my youngest was struggling.
So thankful for the years, and His reminding me, as well as my Processing Christmas friend,
That He's got this...all this...and the next things as well.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths..... Proverbs, 3:5-6
